The "pinch tube" pen model DV-5110 is ideally suited for the manual application of adhesives, lubricants, solvents, cyanoacrylates, anaerobics and other low viscosity materials. Applications may include the dispensing of lines, manual dispensing of shots or filling small cavities, to name only a few applications. The "pinch tube" is the only part that comes in contact with the material. When needed, the simple part design allows very easy exchange of the "pinch tube" assembly. The "pinch tube" assembly is available in two ID's: 1.8 mm (0.070") and 2.5 mm (0.10"). The pinch tube is made of polyethylene PE.
Mode of operation
While idle, the valve is closed. Utilizing an internal spring mechanism, a piston with "blunt edge" design, provides closure to the "pinch tube" assembly, not allowing the material to flow out. By depressing or squeezing the hand lever, the piston removes pressure from the "pinch tube" and the valve is opened. The stroke of the hand lever can be adjusted via a small set screw. This fine adjustment provides control over the opening of the "pinch tube" gap. The simple tool design allows very easy replacement of the internal "pinch tube" assembly. To dispense UV materials, black pinch tubes and flow tubes are available to protect the material from light to prevent drying.
